Herrmann International’s new program, The Thinking Accelerator™ featuring HBDIinteractive™, was awarded the silver Excellence in Content Award from Chief Learning Officer magazine. The magazine announced its Learning in Practice awards last week at the Fall 2009 Chief Learning Officer Magazine Symposium.
"The Learning In Practice awards were established to recognize transformational and visionary leaders in enterprise education,” said Norm Kamikow, president and editor in chief of Chief Learning Officer magazine. “A record number of top learning executives and solution providers were nominated by their peers this year. The winners are the industry leaders who truly champion innovation and transform it into learning and value for their organizations."
According to Ann Herrmann-Nehdi, CEO of Herrmann International, this award highlights a growing need among organizations to deliver high-quality learning and skills to an increasingly global, dispersed and virtual workforce.
“Learning leaders face a tough challenge today,” says Herrmann-Nehdi. “Budgets are tight and very little time is available for training, but at the same time, there’s a greater need for people to take on new responsibilities, stretch their thinking and work more effectively with diverse team members. This award recognizes that you need both innovative content and new delivery mechanisms to make that happen.”
Herrmann International partnered with IBM to develop the award-winning product, an online simulation and blended learning program that helps people uncover their thinking preferences and apply Whole Brain® Thinking to improve leadership, teamwork, communication, problem solving and creativity. By incorporating the learner’s personalized Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument® (HBDI®) assessment profile into the interactive simulation, the program gives each participant an individualized online learning experience.
The Learning In Practice Awards were announced at a special awards ceremony during the Symposium. All of the award winners will be featured in a special supplement in the December issue of Chief Learning Officer magazine. More information about the Learning In Practice Awards:
