HBDIinteractive™ Overview
The HBDIinteractive learning experience is a two-step program to assist you, your colleagues and team members to gain the insight and ability to stretch preferred thinking styles and reach new levels of effectiveness. Starting with a mutual understanding of how thinking styles impact the way you work together, participants gain the skills needed to interact more productively and move faster towards their goals.
The first step is a 120-question survey to assess your preferred thinking styles. The survey questions are about thinking preferences, not competency. There are no right or wrong survey answers. Your assessment results are presented in the second step, a five-module simulated learning environment with interactive activities and examples of Whole Brain® Thinking.

Your Assessment Results
Step Two is a modular, self-paced online simulation learning program comprised of 5 modules taking approximately 3 hours to complete. You may stop at any time and resume where you left off in a previous session. Your complete HBDI® Assessment results are available at the end of Module 3, HBDI® Results.
Introduction – An introduction to the power and value of Whole Brain® Thinking.
Fundamentals – An overview of the Whole Brain® Model, which is the basis of the HBDI® Profile.
HBDI® Results – A step-by-step tour of your personalized HBDI® Profile, explaining how you prefer to think, learn, communicate and make decisions.
Communicating in Colors™ – An activity-based module designed to uncover communication styles and needs, and improve your skills both as a listener and a communicator.
Creating to Innovate™ – Exercises that will give you the opportunity to stretch your thinking style and apply Whole Brain® Thinking for better problem solving and innovation.

Learning Module Navigation
The learning program has been designed so that the “Introduction” and “Fundamentals” modules must be completed before receiving your HBDI® profile results in module 3. Upon completion of module 3, all program modules will be available, however the recommended learning path is to complete all the modules in sequence.
Navigation through each module is accomplished by using the large arrow buttons on each screen. These buttons only become active after the audio narration for a screen has completed or after you have completed all the steps of a learning activity.
Additional navigation is provided within each module in the form of a sub-navigation bar near the top of the application window. This bar contains dots that that can be used to navigate to specific screens within the module. The dots also visually show the user which components of a learning module have been completed, so you can track their progress through a module. Dots in the sub-navigation bar are enabled from left to right as you complete each activities.

Sound
HBDIinteractive contains voice-over narration as part of the overall instructions. The course interface contains audio controls in the bottom right-hand corner. You can manually control playback, mute or un-mute the audio, or select the closed-captioning button ‘CC’ to read the voice-over text.
While the HBDI® assessment can be taken in a variety of languages, the learning modules are presently only available in English. Your HBDI® Assessment results will be displayed in English as well.

Personal Journal
A key feature of the HBDIinteractive program is a personal journal, accessible at all times by clicking on the 'Journal' button in the top right-hand corner of the application window. The journal is a rich text editor that allows the learner to create their own notes during the course. In addition, portions of the journal are auto-populated with data from different learning activities as you complete them. New additions to the journal append to the end of the previous entry.

Resource Guide
In addition to interactive activities and examples of Whole Brain® Thinking in each module, the Resource Guide contains detailed supporting information that you may choose to view by clicking the 'Resource Guide' button in the top right-hand corner of the interface. Within the guide are hyperlinks that assist in navigating through the guide.
Both the Journal and the Resource Guide can be viewed without interrupting you’s progress through the course. When opened, the course will pause and the journal and resource guide will appear over top of the main content area. Once either are closed, the course will resume.

Context-building content – to set up the context for the participant, explaining how this program will help them get better results in their specific job through better thinking
HBDIinteractive™ (Simulation modules 1-3, i.e., HBDI® assessment and debrief)
Application activity to apply learning to the participant’s specific work situation or problem
Simulation modules 4 and 5 that apply the Whole Brain® learning from modules 1 – 3
Application webinar to apply learning to the participant’s specific work situation or problem
Follow-up/reinforcement content
It is a blended solution but offers primarily asynchronous learning opportunities (online tools, simulation, etc.). As a result, it can be deployed quickly (at an accelerated pace) to large and dispersed audiences. This design can also help accelerate the pace of learning application.
